Company Profile – Astra Healthcare Cares with a conscience
The principal activity of Astra Healthcare is the employment, placement and recruitment of experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assitants. Astra Healthcare responds to requests for permanent, temporary and daily placement of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to hospitals on all shifts. Astra Healthcare endeavors to meet the requests twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
Astra Healthcare is a Limited Liability Company with its Head Office in Wellington, New Zealand. Company directors:
Patricia Stevens – Managing Director. Completed nursing training at Wellington Polytechnic and postgraduate nursing diplomas from VUW and Melbourne University. Nursed for 10 years at Wellington Hospital on the Neuro Ward and PACU.
Paul Stevens – Director. 13 years in the IT Industry; the last 10 years with NEC New Zealand where he ran several national infrastructure projects.
Geoff Head – Non Executive Director. 20 years experience as managing director of Protel International Technologies Ltd and currently director with management consulting company, G2 Consulting Ltd.

Astra Healthcare provides uniforms and sick leave. Astra Healthcare has standards it requires of it employees and ensures a rigorous background check of all its Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.
